Sanjay Chopra is an experienced oral surgeon with interest in implant dentistry. Mr. Chopra was awarded the Diploma in Implant Dentistry by the Royal College of Surgeons Faculty of General Dental Practitioners in 2004 and also holds the Advanced Certificate in Implant Dentistry. He is an examiner at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh. Mr. Chopra qualified in 1990. He is also a member of the IEGTSSD (Independent Expert Group for Training and Standards for Sedation in Dentistry) who have recently published several guidelines regarding sedation training.

Professor Piet Eduard J. J. Haers
MD, DMD, FDSRCS, PhD
Professor Piet Eduard J. J. Haers is currently Clinical Director and Cleft Surgeon of the South-Thames Cleft Team at Guy’s Hospital in London, Honorary Visiting Professor at the Postgraduate Medical School of the University of Surrey and Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford. In 2012, he was appointed member of the National Clinical Reference Group for the commissioning of cleft lip and plate services.
Professor Haers was Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (1999 – 2011) and member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He was elected as President-Elect of IAOMS in November 2011 and will be President in 2014 – 2015.
He received a FDS RCS ad eundem in 1999 and FGDP RCS in 2010. He was elected as fellow of the International College of Dentists in 2002. He was elected as fellow of the German Academy of Science Leopoldina in 2005.

Dr Nigel Jones

Nigel Jones first started placing implants in 2002 following a one-year course with Cemal Ucer. He attained the advanced Dip Imp Dent RCS in 2008, and has since tutored on the course. He has presented implant related lectures for the ADI, and several implant companies both in the UK and abroad. He has an implant referral practice in Abergavenny where he is now placing and restoring 500 implants a year. He also acts as a local advisor for Dental Protection Ltd.
Nigel is married to the ever-patient Sarah, and has four children and a dog to support. The South Wales police take a keen interest in his driving, but are less than impressed by his guitar playing.

Professor Vishy Mahadevan
MBBS PhD FRCS (Ed & Eng)
Professor Mahadevan is the Barbers’ Company Professor in Surgical Anatomy at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In this capacity he leads the Anatomy teaching programme in the College’s superbly-equipped and unique Anatomy facility, the Wolfson Surgical Skills Centre.
Professor Mahadevan also possesses an honorary affiliation to the Division of Surgery and Interventional Science at University College London (Royal Free Campus). He has a particular interest and very considerable experience in conducting ‘hands-on’ cadaver dissection workshops.
He has written extensively on various aspects of surgical anatomy, and is one of the editors of the current edition of Gray’s Anatomy, and is co-author (with Professor Harold Ellis) of the popular textbook Clinical Anatomy.

Karen has been involved in implant dentistry since 1987, initially providing restorations only, and then placing and restoring implants since 1993.
She was awarded the Diploma in Implant Dentistry in London in 2008 and also holds the Advanced Certificate in Implant dentistry. She has tutored on the FGDP Royal College of Surgeons Diploma in Implant Dentistry course and is a mentor for dentists training in implant dentistry.
Karen works in a referral practice in York providing implant and advanced restorative and aesthetic care alongside an Endodontist, a Periodontist and a Surgical Specialist. She regularly speaks to special interest groups.
Karen qualified from Manchester University in 1983.

Ms Mc Henry is the director of the South Down Dental Clinic, a multidisciplinary clinic that she established in 1985. This clinic offers a full range of specialist dental services, on a “referral only” basis provided by herself and specialist colleagues.
Ms Mc Henry has broad experience in all aspects of implant dentistry and oral surgery.
All aspects of oral surgery and implant dentistry are carried out with the support of the on-site CT cone beam scanner and microscope.
Paula is registered with the GDC as a specialist oral surgeon (UK) and has an Advanced Certificate in Bone grafting.

Dr Waseem Noordin

Dr Waseem Noordin is a faculty member with over 25 years of experience in all aspects of surgical and restorative implant dentistry. He regularly lectures and runs courses on implant dentistry. Waseem provides assistance to colleagues in planning cases and one-to one mentoring on all aspects of implant treatment. He is a past tutor, lecturer, cohort director and examiner of the FGDP Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal college of Surgeons of England. He is a member of the ADI and Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

Mr Peter Sochor - Technical Director

Peter Sochor began his dental career in Dublin followed by a further ten years' intensive study in Germany, covering every aspect of dental technology, leading to his qualification as a Master Dental Technician ZTM. He has lectured worldwide, including the Institute of Master Technicians, numerous Dental Hospitals, and by invitation, to speak for the Royal Society of Medicine, as well as the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and Association of Dental Implantology. He was the first Dental technician to lecture at the Royal College of Surgeons on Implant topics and the first Dental technician to be elected to the committee of the Association of Dental Implantology. He is a past lecturer of the FGDP Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is currently a lecturer on the MSc Aesthetic Dentistry Programme at Kings College, London Dental Institute, UK. Mr. Sochor is a founder of the British Association of Implant Technicians, and past chairman. He is a full member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and past treasurer of the International Association of Certified Dental Implant Technicians (UK). He has been published widely in peer reviewed journals, written a number of books, and was acknowledged in the first and second editions of Practical Implant Dentistry, by Dr. Ashok Sethi and Dr. Thomas Kaus, for his contributions and technical expertise.
